Juan won first place at the Jo Evans Scholarship Competition in Decatur, GA. One of the requirements was a slow movement from a classical sonata. Here, he performs at the Honors Recital, and his expressiveness is unquestionably evident!

This beautiful and tricky Nocturne (with a 5/4 time signature) was Juan's selection from the list of Required Pieces at Federation 2021. It earned him his second Excellence in Artistry Award. Here, he performs it at our 2021 Spring Recital. He never ceases to wow the audience!

Baroque selection for the 2021 GMTA Auditions. This beautiful rendition took Juan all the way to the State Round!

​Prelude in C#m, Op. 3 No. 2 - Sergei Rachmaninoff
April 17, 2021 - State Auditions
This incredible performance earned Juan a Third Place Award in the Best Rachmaninoff Performance Category of the international Great Composers Competition Series. Juan was amongst other 14-16 year-old competitors from France, Canada, China, Bulgaria, Poland, and New Zealand. What an outstanding accomplishment!

Juan received Outstanding Performance Awards at the 2020 CFMTA Local Auditions and GMTA Regional Auditions. He also received an Excellence in Artistry Award at the 2020 NFMC Federation Festival. This young man is a major talent with quite the passion!
